The Serving Our Community committee’s mission is to share the love of Christ and the Gospel message outside the walls of our local church. They pursue this mission by organizing events in the Harmony/Zelienople community which demonstrate God’s love, and which allow participants who choose to do so to share concerns and be prayed for in a supportive manner.

Christmas Chest

This is a chance to help those with lower incomes purchase their own Christmas at a cost of 90 percent off – giving those in the community a feeling of worth. Most families spent an average of $35 for their entire Christmas.

Laundry Days

Several times a year we go to local Laundry Mats and pay the complete cost of peoples’ laundry, just to show the love of Jesus.

Thanking our Local Heroes

Each year we serve our local First Responders a “Recognition Dinner” and give gift cards to our local Police Officers.

The Gathering

1 Corinthians 16:14

All local Jesus-believing churches get together every September to put on a free event for their community to share the love of Christ.

Philippians 1:27 says, “Whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.”

The purpose of the Gathering is to create a beloved community among all the churches, where brotherhood can be a reality, not just words.

Everything is free, including tie-dye T-shirts, games and prizes, food, haircuts, nails, and Christian entertainment.

It’s a great way to show the community that we want to serve them with no conditions.
