Welcome to the Harmony-Zelienople Global Methodist Child Care Center.

For more than 30 years, our purpose is to meet the needs of parents in the community by nurturing children in a Christ-centered environment and to promote a safe, secure and loving atmosphere in which each child may develop and grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, physically and spiritually by receiving a well-rounded experience. The child care center was established in September 1992, as an outreach ministry of the Harmony-Zelienople Global Methodist Church.   We are open year round and provide care from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. We strive to provide parents with comfort and peace of mind in the daily care of their children, ages 6 weeks to 6 years

Current Enrollment Openings

Due to a COVID-related staffing shortage, we have been unable to accept additional children into our program. As staff are hired and trained, we will begin to fill in any open enrollment we have available. While we are not keeping a waiting list, you may call and leave a message stating what your child care needs are. Be sure to leave your name and phone number. However, due to the increased number of inquiries we have been receiving, you won’t necessarily receive a call back unless we have an opening available to offer you. If you are still interested in our child care center, you will then be given an opportunity to tour the center before deciding whether or not to enroll.

About Us

As a parent, we know one of the most important choices you make is choosing care for your child. We strive to provide an enriching environment and experience, with a combination of education and social skills, for each of our age ranges and classrooms. Our children begin a Christian-based curriculum and activities as early as toddler-aged.

Click on the images above or below to take a closer look at our environments and playground. Because of our great location, we are able to take advantage of the local community, including going on walks in the local town of Zelienople and visiting the Zelienople Community Park when weather permits. We would love for you to visit and check out our environments for yourself.

HZGMC Child Care Center, a part of the Harmony-Zelienople community for more than 30 years, is licensed through the PA Dept. of Human Services. We take special care in the staff we hire and all full-time staff have Bachelor degrees in Education and/or experience in early childhood care.

Family Testimonials

“It’s hard to say what we love the most about the Child Care Center. The staff is such an amazing and talented group of people who work so well together and care for our children like their own. They teach them, they love them, they pray for them! Our kids are being enriched in so many ways by going there, and they absolutely love it! We wouldn’t dream of sending our kids anywhere else.”

— Andrew and Julie Chittock

“As a new parent, one of the hardest things I had to do, was decide to have my boys attend daycare. Who knew it would turn out to be one of the biggest blessings we would ever receive?!? We experienced 8 years of compassion, love, and support and not just for our boys but for the whole family. You couldn’t ask for a better start to life for your children, academically, socially and spiritually.”

— The Hersick Family

“I cannot say enough about the staff at the HZGMC Childcare Center and the loving and caring environment they have provided for our daughter since she started attending the center when she was 3-months old.  She is now 2 and not a day goes by that we are not thankful for the care and learning opportunities she has through the center.  The staff has always gone the extra mile to show love to our daughter when we could not be with her and that means the world.  The Christian-based curriculums, art projects, developmental activities, social interaction, etc. that the center provides, I believe, have given our daughter the stepping stones success that will benefit her for years to come. Thank you!”

“Words we use to describe the HZGMC Child Care Center are nurturing, educational, spiritual, supportive, creative and safe. As parents, we are thankful to have loving people to take care of our children.”

— The D’Amico Family

“The staff at HZGMC Child Care Center are so great with our kids, and have been in each phase of their lives, from the baby room to the toddler room, and now in the preschool room.  The staff pay such close attention to our children and know them so well that when they are sick or slightly “off”, we have been notified about it before we pick them up.  The amount of care and planning that goes into the lessons is obvious and makes a huge impact on the kids, as mine are frequently coming home and telling us Bible stories and letter sounds.  We absolutely love the center and the staff who care so much for the kids.”

— Ray and Chelsea Meals

“Words cannot express how grateful we are for the HZGMC Child Care Center. We’ve had our three children at the Center since our oldest daughter was an infant, more than 10 years ago. We feel like we are truly a part of a family, our kids are so very loved and taken care of, and the curriculum aligns with our faith and values. They were cuddled and loved as infants, enriched as toddlers, and the preschool program and curriculum more than prepared them for Kindergarten when the time arrived. We continued participating in the preschool program and care even when we decided mom would stay home with the kids. That’s how much our family loves it! When our youngest goes to Kindergarten, we will surely miss being a part of the Child Care Center family.”

— The Jacobs Family

“The team at HZGMC has been a blessing to our family. They educate, nurture, and love our young boys while in their care like they are their own children, nephews, grandchildren. We consider them our family and they are helping us raise our children to know God, be kind, and love others. Our family requires flexibility for drop off and pick up and they have always accommodated our needs without hesitation. Lynda and her team have gone to great lengths to offer support during births, maternity leaves, medical emergencies, and health needs for our children. We are so grateful for our family at HZGMC and our children wake up excited to spend the day playing and learning with their friends and “family” at HZGMC.”
