Scripture Memory Verses
Part of our strategy to intentionally love, follow, serve, and share Christ involves reading God’s word – the Bible – and putting it into our minds and hearts. To help us do that, the different techniques below were developed to help memorize scripture. The techniques include word patterns, imagery, muscle memory, and song. Some techniques work better for some people than others. Try using the examples below to memorize these verses. See which works best for you, and then apply it to memorizing other Bible verses.
The Scripture references and verses are listed below. If you click on the reference, you will see a graphic and explanation for the technique used for that verse. Follow the instructions, and you will find it easier to remember them!
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Mark 12:30
